Transparent Night is a senior capstone project designed with the intention to integrate building with site in order to appreciate the surrounding landscape without being visually disruptive. With its sweeping windows peeking over the edge of the shoreline and a hilly incline, one would never know a building resides just below the surface of the site. Each moment is carefully designed to keep humans and nature at the forefront of the mind.

This structure contains little moments designed to make the user reflect on the serenity of the river and to enjoy nature in its purest form. In this way, patrons can pay homage to Knoxville’s natural beauty and leave room for others to enjoy.
