Go Skate Day! took place at concord park where skaters from Knoxville and the surrounding areas get together once a year to skate, talk, and compete with each other. This year, vintage resale vendors participated in this year's festivities by selling their merchandise to skateboarders and their fans.
The Plant Trolley is a much loved mobile plant shop which features a wide variety of potted plants. The plant trolley can be found traversing around knoxville, regularly making stops at popular locations around the city.
Sophia Wright sits down with Ethan Willoughby to discuss his creative practice that primarily encompasses two modalities: music and painting. As a DJ, Ethan aims to blend the mechanical and poetic into an operatic presence and embodied space; he extends this process of improvisation into his painting, which forms collections of gestures—burial scenes, crucifixions—in search of a non-space.
Ethan says, “It’s always tied to eliciting an innate instinctual response in the present moment. That song you just heard only existed then and there, like watching a bird dodge a falling branch […] I’m drawn to something that holds the weight of something mechanical or brutal even, but something still so sensitive and poetic as violin or piano.”
Handsome Girl Pretty Boy Handsome Girl Pretty Boy is a Memphis based, Queer, Pop, Post Punk band. Since 2023, HGPB has played many local Memphis venues, house shows, and headlined the 2024 MidSouth Pride Festival in Memphis, Tennessee. This t-shirt was sold by Handsome Girl Pretty Boy on their tour and at the Midsouth Pride Festival. Their farewell EP album art was a special send-off to their group of talented musicians.
Hellmouth Magazine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization dedicated to publishing quality cultural commentary. Hellmouth's print magazine is published twice annually, featuring experimental essays, critical perspectives, artist highlights, and other multidisciplinary content. The Hellmouth team, which includes myself as their Creative Director, organized and hosted a magazine salon/warehouse rave in celebration of our inaugural print magazine.

Madi and Brad have one of the most unique dynamics of any skate duo. Madi is a spunky, queer, novice skateboarder and brad is a quite, gentle, long-time skateboarder. For the past few years and for several times a week, Brad has been teaching Madi how to skate. They met in 2022 working at a local pizzeria in Knoxville, Tennessee. Despite their opposite natures, they developed a deep friendship under the medium of skateboarding.
