Cherry Hall is a projected food court in Johnson City, Tennessee, designed within a historic former tobacco warehouse. At 21,000 sq/ft, the cavernous space is well equiped to accomodate over 15 vendor spaces, a dining area, and an upstairs bar and terrace. The developers intention is to maintain the pre-existing, rustic palette of the warehouse and to utilize the exposed brick interior to encapsulate the essence of an authentic Johnson City experience.
The preservation of historic resources is not only one of the most impactful decisions an individual can choose for the environment, but it also stands the test of time through it's aesthetics and lifecycle cost analysis. It’s an axiom of human experience that touch breathes warmth into a space, with no effort needed to over compensate for the emptiness found in places without a soul.
