Dogtooth began as an exploration of pushing the boundaries of a 3D printer in hopes it would produce unexpected results that could be reconfigured into spaces. One of the outcomes of this process produced a model reminiscent of a stalagmite, which quickly became the beginnings of Dogtooth.

Not only is Dogtooth an outdoor retail supplier for rock climbing and water sports equipment, but it also functions as a space for customers to test their products before purchase. An important feature of this structure is its proximity to the Tennessee River. The river serves as an access point for customers to enter and leave Dogtooth at their leisure. Dogtooth also features a climbing wall in the interior of the space that patrons can use. These features make for a collaborative, interactive, functional space.
